Roosevelt Nascimento – VP of Product Management
For Roosevelt, it is important to encourage his team to be vocal and to create a safe space where everyone can share successes, failures, feedback, requests for help, and recognition. He and his team enjoy their work, and also have fun.
Weekly, they measure their progress and discuss results and action plans. Monthly, they host a retrospective meeting to revisit their metrics and celebrate their achievements. They also host five planning sessions throughout the year. These are very useful for adjusting their goals and recognizing accomplishments along the journey. This is how Roosevelt helps generate awareness and accountability across his team!
What does he look for when hiring? Team players and inquisitive individuals who love to learn and contribute at a high level. Skills like the ability to act quickly and resilience are also very useful among the team.
Lilian Casagrande – VP Software Engineer
Working with Lilian involves taking an end-to-end view of user journeys and leading multiple areas and stakeholders by managing roadmaps. She’s a true collaborative leader who encourages teams to work cross-functionally to achieve valuable results.
She loves working with those who are able to deliver simple solutions, but above all who have a learning mindset and don’t forget to celebrate and have fun together.
Douglas Ferreira – Senior Director Software Engineer
As a tech leader, Douglas focuses on having a deep understanding of his team’s values and giving them autonomy. To do this, he sets well-defined goals and clear benchmarks in every initiative.
He believes meaningful work and awesome results are only possible when you have a passionate team that loves what they do. The team is very hands-on, curious about understanding the bigger picture, and enthusiastic about building things that last.
Alice Campos – VP of Product Management
Alice is a people-oriented leader, someone who puts others in the center. She believes that success depends on the capacity to build trust and psychological safety to foster empowerment and productive conflict, leading to better decision-making and innovation.
In order to make her team function well she tries to make people aware that they are not only responsible for themselves, but for all members of the team. Everyone is responsible for contributing to a trusting environment where everyone feels psychologically safe to vocalize their disagreements and craziest ideas (often these are the best ones!)
What is her ideal employee profile? People who think differently! She always supported diversity in all aspects and people who are able to network and help their colleagues.
Ivan Rocha – VP Software Engineer
Ivan believes in the ‘You build, you run’ culture in engineering. He tries to recognize great engineers and allow them to lead and mentor others on the team. He believes that in order to have excellence in engineering, strong leadership is needed.
How does his team collaborate? Sharing knowledge, mentoring new team members, innovating and helping other areas by focusing on best practices, and providing a seamless self-service platform for the entire company.
When hiring, Ivan looks for engineers with solid knowledge of software design principles who bring best practices for designing and operating highly available systems.
